EUGENE, Ore. -- Black apparel is flying off the shelves at Duck Stores across the state this week as Oregon football fans prepare for this Saturday's game against USC at Autzen Stadium. With the matchup taking place on Halloween night, many say it's the perfect night to be head-to-toe in black.

At the Duck Store on the UO campus, hundreds of black shirts are arriving every four to six hours. Several thousand shirts and hats have already been sold at Duck Stores in Eugene, Portland and Bend.

The idea of a "blackout" in the stands is taking off online. On Facebook, a UO student's "Lights Out Autzen" page has grown to at least 7,000 members in just a couple of weeks.
