BROWNSVILLE, Ore. -- There are new developments in a homicide case out of Brownsville.
Officials have released autopsy results of the victim of a Brownsville homicide case. The victim, 48-year-old Gerlene Thorne had been stabbed to death. Originally, it had been reported that Thorne had been shot by her son 31-year-old Josh Lee Shaddon, and he fled with three children.
However, autopsy results released Monday show Thorne died from multiple stab wounds.
The three children who were found inside the vehicle driven by the suspect have returned to family members. Two of the boys, ages 4 and 2, are the suspect's children and were returned to their mother. The third boy, age 6, is a nephew and was also returned to his mother.
Shaddon is being held in the Linn County Jail on murder charges. Deputies say their investigation is still ongoing, but they don't expect to make any more arrests in this case.
