EUGENE, Ore--Statistics show domestic violence is a growing problem. Experts say during hard economic times the number of domestic violence cases increases.

In Lane County, a few city leaders and county commissioners will gather Wednesday night for a public forum to address the issue. Commissioners Pete Sorenson and Rob Handy, along with Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy agree, the forum is about getting the conversation started and educating people about domestic abuse.
