Springfield, Ore.--Managers say they can't gage how long the path will be detoured, but say they've been preparing riders. The project is a part of a larger effort to extend the EMX line, connecting the cores of Eugene and Springfield.

The 41-million dollar project - funded be federal and state dollars - is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
