LONG BEACH, Wash. -- He was a Medford police officer, then a Roseburg business owner. Now, Brian Brush is a Washington murder suspect. He's accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend in the coastal town of Long Beach, Wash. Just before 5 p.m. on Friday, Long Beach police say they saw Brush firing a shotgun at the ground. But when officers got closer, they discovered the body of 45-year-old Lisa Bonney had been shot in the back three times.
The murder charges add to a long list of problems with the law for Brush. In April 2009, the FBI served a search warrant at North River Boats and accused Brush of committing wire fraud. Brush is also the focus of two lawsuits claiming he owns nearly $1,000,000 in company payments and credit card debt.
