Junction City, Ore. -- In Junction City Tuesday morning, hundreds flocked to the Oaklea Middle School to ask questions on everything from health care to the war in Iraq. While there were a few outbursts here and there, Congressman Peter Defazio's first town hall of the day was pretty mild.
Defazio will take his second stage at 5:00 pm at the Eugene Hilton then on to Springfield High School at 7:00 pm.

Yes, I was concerned about government benefits being doled out free to illegal aliens while at the same time we can't afford to take care of our own citizens.
I know the difference between legal and Illegal because I went through the legal process to become a citizen. It is worth doing right.
Yes, I know I was not correct in saying 'illegal citizens'.. You try being the first question and have cameras lunge for your face and see what happens. Sorry, I'll be better prepared next time and maybe the clip you see will be more than just a bite.
BTW, this still shot at the beginning of this video is just the early seating in the gymnasium, those bleachers in the background were filled at the start of the meeting and the walls were lined with people standing for the entire hour.
Thanks for the coverage. For the most part, I agree people conducted themselves pretty well. No attendee was shouted down. Mr. DeFazio took a couple volleys of enthusiasm from the crowd, but no one was threatening or out of line.
