Northwest Drivers Guzzling Less Gas In Recent Years

The people of the Northwest often consider themselves to be 'Green'.  A new study shows that claim is accurate.  Drivers here are filling up their gas tanks a lot less than they used to.  The report by Seattle-based Sightline Institute finds drivers in Oregon, Washington and Idaho used 180 million fewer gallons of gasoline between 2007 and 2008.

Just because they're filling

Just because they're filling up less, does that really mean it's accurate that Oregon drivers are green? I'm guessing this has more to do with the economy than going green.
