It was day one for new University of Oregon President Richard Lariviere.  Dave Frohnmayer stepped down from his post this week after fifteen years.  Economic troubles paired with questions about rising cost for students means Lariviere's job will not be easy.  For the time being, he is focusing on learning as much about the people and the institution he has been chosen to lead.  A priority for Lariviere is making the university accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
