EUGENE, Ore. -- There was shock all over the world Thursday as word of Michael Jackson's death traveled. The self-proclaimed "King of Pop" died at his home Thursday afternoon. He was just 50 years old.
 
There have been a lot of mixed reactions to his death, but Jackson's music legend status is pretty irrefutable. Local fans say they hope people remember the pop icon's music rather than some of his controversial behavior.
