CORVALLIS, Ore. The Liberty newspaper claims it's being censored by Oregon State University because it does not have the same distribution as the school's daily paper.
OSU says The Daily Barometer is the only university-recognized student publication, and therefore is allowed to distribute all over campus. Because The Liberty is not a recognized student publication, it has the same distribution right as other papers like The Eugene Weekly and The Corvallis Gazette-Times.
The executive editor says limiting The Liberty distribution is censorship. OSU says the paper is still allowed a number of distribution bins on campus, just like other newspapers.
