COBURG, Ore. -- The City of Coburg is now without one of its oldest, most recognizable trees. Tuesday morning, maintenance crews started cutting down the old maple on Willamette Street after they labeled it a hazard. The tree isn't officially considered historic, but it is one of the city's oldest, dating back well more than 100 years.
Some of the tree's wood will be cut and resold. The rest will be used to build benches throughout Coburg.
