Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

One mans trash is another mans treasure- a twist on the theme goes like this. One persons trash is another persons art show. Tonights featured gallery- bring recycling. The point is to create awareness. To see thing differently. It's why we do art. Even free form creations have to follow some rules. All the art is made of waste. Something we might consider trash. This is made of rebar, bolts, and screws. From a bike frame giraffe- insert climbing vines here. To a bowling ball lamp, fanciful is the word that comes to mind- so now lets switch to practical. It's made of used bicyle innertubes. It's practical, durable, and there are plenty of these in the waste stream.Bring is now located at 4446 franklin blvd in their fancy new digs, next week i'll give you a tour of their highly upgraded facility. The art show runs through may 29th. This friday and saturday from 9 to 4, bring and weyerhauser will be conducting a shred-a-thon. If you have sensitive documents you can get them shredded for a dollar for the first ten pounds, and sixteen cents a pound beyond that. More on their web site that i've linked to our website. http://www.bringrecycling.org
