KEZI 9 News embarks on a campaign to highlight the state's foster care system and those who have dealings with it. With investigative reports by Brandi Smith, KEZI 9 News hopes the "Kids in Crisis" campaign will build awareness for and improve the community outreach of Oregon's foster care programs. As a product of our continued coverage, we aim to increase the number of qualified foster parents in the system and to connect to children living within the system on multiple levels.
Our "Kids in Crisis" special reports will air Thursday nights on KEZI 9 News at 6 p.m. You can also watch "Wednesday's Child," a feature profiling local foster children looking for a forever home, each Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
