If you are having trouble receiving Ch 9 DTV, here are some tips to try.

Most Common Fix

On Feb 17th, KEZI did convert from Ch 44 DTV to Ch 9 DTV. You will need to autoscan (autoprogram) your TV or Converter box to learn the new channel even if you received it ok before. We have found that add a channel almost never works, even if your converter or TV has this feature. You must do a full scan as if it was a new box being used for the first time.

If it doesn't find it on the autoscan, try moving your antenna a little one way or the other and scan again.

Outside Antenna System

In the local area, within 30 miles or so of Eugene, preamps are not a good idea; they overload and cause problems in areas with strong local signals. Try removing the preamp, where possible.

Try removing any splitters in your system and hook the antenna directly to your TV or Converter Box. If you then get the signal, you will likely need a amplified splitter. Line amplifiers or amplified splitters can have the same overload problem, but less likely. Since tuners tend to overload easily, if the amplifier has a boost or gain control, try setting it to minimum and slowly work up in level as needed.

Inside Antennas

If you are buying an inside antenna in the local area, do not buy one with an amplifier. They are not needed on rabbit ear type antennas and can and will cause problems with DTV reception. The cheapest inside antennas will work best.

Windows Computer Tuners

Windows computers are configured wrong from the factory for KEZI. They look for KEZI on Ch 14, but should be looking on Ch 9. Contact your Tuner Card or Computer vendor on how to modify the Channel table.
