PeaceHealth to Hold H1N1 Vaccine Clinics Open to Everyone

By Brian Schiedel

EUGENE, Ore. -- After months of clinics excluding those who aren't a high priority, now everyone will soon be able to get an H1N1 vaccination.

PeaceHealth Medical Group Urgent Care will hold H1N1 vaccination clinics from 9 am-3 pm on Monday, December 14 and from 8 am-3 pm on Tuesday, December 15. The cost is $15 per dose, and insurance is accepted. The walk-in clinic is open to everyone ages 10 and older. No appointment is necessary.

This is the first time during the 2009 flu season that H1N1 vaccinations have been available to people who are not in the priority groups mandated by the Oregon Public Health Department. Everyone who is interested in being vaccinated is eligible to receive a shot.

PeaceHealth Medical Group Urgent Care is on the first floor of the Riverbend Pavilion at 3377 Riverbend Drive. If you have questions, please call PeaceHealth Medical Group Urgent Care at (541) 222-6005.

Meanwhile, the Benton County Health Department is teaming up with the Corvallis School District to offer free H1H1 vaccines at Cheldelin Middle School at 987 NE Conifer Boulevard in Corvallis at 4 pm.  Both injections and mist will be available.  Attendees, including those who do not fall within the priority groups, will be vaccinated while supplies last.
