Crimestoppers: Looking for Ian Robertson

By Holly Menino

EUGENE, Ore. -- Eugene Police are looking for a person of interest in several burglaries.

Detective Johann Schenider says Ian Robertson's criminal history started when he was a teenager. He's been in the criminal justice system since 1992. Nearly 18 years later, police say he's still out there causing trouble. Car theft, possession of methamphetamine and burglary tools are just some of the crimes he's been convicted of.

Robertson is currently wanted on a felony theft related charge and is a person of interest in several burglaries crimes that can leave lasting impacts on its victims.

"Anytime you have a theft-related crime, the victim is in some way traumatized whether it be in a small way or in a large way where it gets so bad where they feel they have to move out from home because they feel violated," said EPD Detective Johann Schneider.

Detective Schneider says Robertson is homeless at this time. Police believe he's either staying in homeless shelters or couch hopping. Detectives say it's also possible that Robertson is stealing to support a drug habit.

If you know where Ian Robertson is, call the Crimestoppers line at 1-877-876-TIPS. You could earn up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
