Aaron Ofseyer is a meteorologist who joins us from KTVH in Helena, Montana where he began his news career.
Aaron grew up in Dallas, Texas where he fell in love with severe weather. He would often stay up way past his bedtime listening to his weather radio following storms. In elementary school, lightning split a one hundred year old pecan tree in half, sparking a fascination with weather that continues today. To this day, he still sleeps with his weather radio.
After high school, Aaron attended the University of Hartford majoring in psychology and broadcast journalism. He even entertained a career in baseball after playing semi-professionally for the Detroit Tigers for a summer. But a bad elbow and genetics conspired to cut his career short. Luckily, these limitations haven’t hindered his prowess on the green screen.
When he’s not forecasting, you can probably find Aaron on the slopes or hiking the beautiful Oregon Cascades. He’s excited to call Eugene home.
