Gia Vang joined KEZI 9 NEWS as a Reporter in January 2009 from Sacramento, California. Her passion for storytelling came at an early age writing stories for classmates in grade school. Gia graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Journalism. She began as a student-writer for her campus newspaper, later becoming an editor. Gia began working in television as an intern at KCRA 3 in Sacramento, CA.

Gia believes journalism is an everyday challenge, while also richly rewarding because you learn something new each day and share it with the community. She is excited to be in Eugene and Western Oregon and enjoys the charm, natural beauty and people.
