Justin holds a Master's degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University where he was a co-author on a published study on the relationship between weather and mental health.

Justin is originally from Beavercreek, Ohio. He attended Miami University in Ohio receiving a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Justin also received a Master's in Clinical Psychology and, previous to working as a weatherman, was part of a crisis-intervention team with the Baltimore Police Department in Maryland.
